Python 2.3 doesn't overwrite python 2.2 because there are many
circumstances when you would need them both installed side-by-side, since
python's cross-version compatibility is so abysmally poor (IMO).
Can you be more specific about how pysol doesn't see the 2.3 installation?
Does it give an error message at configure-time? Install-time? Runtime?
What's the message? Is python 2.3 in /usr/local and python 2.2 in /usr ?
