I agree, doing nothing is (usually) a bad way to (fail to) proceed. But
we have to be sure that any remedy, before it is taken on a large scale,
will actually make the situation better.
Actually, several solutions may each work fine on a small scale; that
leads to diversity, which is generally a good thing.
