I want to try storing video on VCDs (as I have a CD burner but not a DVD
burner, and CD blanks are much cheaper than DVD blanks). I understand
it'll be limited in resolution, framerate, and audio channels, but since
any client TVs and the source data share those limitations too, it's OK.
What tool has the ability to create VCDs?
I got and installed GNU vcdimager 0.7.12, but its man page is abysmal, and
its web site is down to protest software patents. It should do the job,
if I can figure out how to use it.
I thought cdrecord would work, but I was using it wrong. (cdrecord
dev=a,b,c speed=d file.mpg) Needless to say, that didn't work.
