I don't know if I am the only one that uses NewsGroups but for years Road
Runner has always been garbage.
Now it's worse. None of the groups postings except for the ones on Road
Runners service is conplete or stays on the threads.
Now they claim that they should have between 5 to 7 days how ever it is less
then 1 day.
They also come up incomplete how ever when I access the same groups on my
Mindspring/Earthlink account they are complete and there for days.
Also Earthlink on their support says that newsgroups can not be remotely
accessed from another network? How ever with a Verizons DSL connection no
problem. On NewBrightOuthouse, it comes up as a non trusted network. Now
then weird thing is that Bright Outhouse offers Earthlink yet they are not
trusted?
Verizions does not and yet they are able to access the NNTP server.
Now for the real crap if you call their support they say there is nothing
showing any problems? Yet I know 5 people whom have the same problem all of
us are in the Hillsborough, Pinellas counties and one in Orlando, and we are
scattered. The only common thing is Road Runner.
I don't know but it seems if they are going to offer NNTP service then they
should be up and checked. It is part of the service being paid for!
I really think there should be some way to get a investigation into why
every since Road Runner was changed to AOL, to Bright Outhouse they
can not get this crap fixed not to mention the bandwidth was lowered and
prices increased!
If anyone else is having problems please let me know so OUTHOUSE can see
they got a problem. I am tired of the it works for us or me B$.
OBTW if you post in any of the Road Runner NNTP groups about problems they
will call you. So much for being able to communicate to others to let them
know.
If you are not having a problem let me know what Reader you are using
please. Thunderbird, and Xnews etc.,
Thanks
BP
