YES, no telephone company connection is needed. Just a `pedistal cord".
Get a copy of the command codes for the two modems, the standard is the AT
codes created by Hayes. The "US (or 3Com) Sportster" uses a modified version of
the command set.
You must set ONE for answer mode (ats0=1) and put both on line without
receiving a ring tone to get them "on line". ???ato???
Once connected together you can up and dn load stuff.
