Folks,
Put a wireless NIC card in this machine, it appears that the running of
NDISWRAPPER slows things down to the such that it is quite visible, indeed
if there is a lot of data flowing over the link such as ssh into a machine and
then running TOPn then it really gets slow particularly if the remote machine
starts dumping a lot of activity into the top session. Anything that pushes a
lot of data through that NDISWRAPPER slows it down. If i run the machine
usinig the regular NIC card it screams (the machine not the data download)
I can see where the NDISWRAPPER would eat cpu time but did not think that
it would show up as that bad. Ohh well live and learn.
